Gifts to VTSU Castleton 2025: Still Green contribute to...
New Chapter. Same Mission. Still Green.
Today is #GivingTuesday — a global day dedicated to giving back that rallies our donors, alumni, staff, faculty, students, and volunteers around a common cause.
Our common cause is Vermont State University.
For generations, Castleton has been a place where learning, leadership, and community come together. Our traditions run deep, and our roots in Vermont are strong.
Now, as part of Vermont State University, we carry forward that same mission — opening doors to affordable, high-quality education for learners of every age, background, and community.
Your #GivingTuesday gift keeps that promise alive.
Your support:
- Opens doors for promising students.
-
Fuels the passion of our professors and coaches.
-
Strengthens the communities we call home.
The name has changed, but the heart remains the same.
Castleton is still green—because of you.
Dear Friends,
As of Dec. 3 at 10:20am, Green Mountain Time, 380 donors have given to support our students this #GivingTuesday. That’s a remarkable outpouring of care—and I want to say thank you.
In a year marked by evolution and change across our venerable campuses, this kind of generosity says something powerful about our community.
It says we’re still here—first and foremost—for our students.
It says we’re focusing not on what’s changed, but on what matters most: the people and professionals, the futures and families, being built at Vermont State University, across our campuses and beyond.
We’re only 20 donors away from our goal of 400 by the campaign's close at noon today. And we are still working to add to the tally the many mail-in gifts we have received as well.
But if your friends, family, or colleagues have been waiting to jump in, please give them a nudge—and let them know that now is the time to be counted.
Thank you again for your generosity toward our students, your faith in our mission, and for helping to make this day another decisive success for our brave little university.
Warm regards,
Ernie
